At times, during July and August, the weather can be very hot especially when the temperatures gets as warm as 380 Celsius. Why does it gets warmer and amazingly hot during this times? The reason is quite simple, it is because of the ability of the deep valleys to retain heat when the circulation patterns favors high pressure over southern British Columbia. This is increased by the radiation from the floors and walls of the valleys which are heated by the solar radiations.

This is because, Whistler is located in the Coast Mountain range of British Columbia and so the weather can change dramatically during the day, irrespective of the time of season.
